Allison Nonos,
Varsity Head Coach
& Program Leader
Coach Allison has been the head coach of the Ballard Field Hockey program since the 2020 season. She and her husband, Nickie, are both Ballard graduates who are deeply committed to this program. They are high school sweethearts, together for 13 years this November, and have a 1-year-old son named George, who you'll likely see running around this season! Field hockey has always been a huge part of Allison's life, from playing at St. Aloysius Catholic School in elementary and middle school, to high school at Ballard and IFHCK, and then in college at Limestone University. Fun fact: She has a bachelor’s degree in studio art and loves everything creative! After graduating from Limestone in 2017, Allison moved back home to Louisville and continued her passion for hockey through coaching. Her goal as a coach is to support and challenge the girls, teaching them personal accountability and helping them become better athletes and strong, independent women for the future. In addition to coaching field hockey at Ballard, Allison works full-time at Trane Technologies as a Service Agreement Specialist, assisting clients in eastern Kentucky with their commercial HVAC and energy needs. She also coaches with IFHCK Field Hockey Club as the Assistant Club Director focused on Athlete Experience, and is the U16/U19 Indoor Program Leader and Outdoor Program Head Coach. She has also coached for NEXUS and holds a Level 1 USA Field Hockey Coaching Certification. Allison is excited to continue building on our success this season and believes this is our year to WIN STATE. “I am so proud to be leading this program- our goal this season is to strive for excellence and commitment while maintaining the fun spirit Ballard Field Hockey is known for. As always, thank you for your support!”
